The Clinical Psychologists at The Owl Centre in North London combine expertise and experience with a friendly and sympathetic approach to the children and parents they see. They also have links with the NHS to ensure a seamless continuity for clients who have received NHS assessments or therapy.

Dr Cleo Williamson BA, MSc, DClinPsy

Dr Cleo Williamson is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health Care Professions Council. She has 10 years’ experience working in mental and physical health services within the NHS. This has included working with adults, children, young people and their families. Cleo is experienced in the use of several evidence-based psychological interventions including systemic therapy, narrative therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). She has experience in providing psychological interventions for anxiety, depression, self-esteem, behaviour experienced as challenging, relationship issues and school/exam issues. Her particular expertise is working with young people with health conditions, learning difficulties and/or Autism. She is trained in the administration of neurological cognitive assessments and the ADOS-2.

Cleo also works at University College Hospital London, where she supports young people and their families who are living with health conditions.

Cleo completed her masters in Child Developmental at UCL and doctoral thesis within the area of paediatric psychology / rare developmental health disorders. Working closely with Great Ormond Street Hospital, Cleo continues to promote her qualitative research exploring parents’ experiences of having a child with Landau Kleffner Syndrome. She is extremely interested in promoting the practice of integrating brain and behaviour relationships with a holistic understanding of a child and young person’s context and family. 

Cleo works in Central London and is able to travel to North London for specific pieces of work (e.g. assessments or observations).
