Katie Rose BSW and PGDip in Play Therapy
Katie trained as a Play Therapist at Leeds Beckett University, supporting children with attachment difficulties, disability, trauma, anxiety , bereavement, domestic violence and emotional distress . Prior to this, she studied Social Work, working with children and families with child protection concerns. Katie specialises in working with children who are in the care system or with special guardianship.
Katie provides 1-1, non-directive, child-centred Play Therapy sessions to children aged between 3 and 12 years old. Play Therapy provides a safe, unconditionally positive and accepting environment for a child to process muddled feelings and upsetting events. Play is a natural form of communication for a child and enables expression of feelings and worries at the child’s level and at their own pace.
Katie is able to provide home and school appointments in the following areas:
- Hammersmith & Fulham
- Kensington & Chelsea
- London City
