Hannah Grace BA (Hons) Fine Art, MA Art Psychotherapy, HCPC Registered

Hannah Grace BA (Hons) Fine Art, MA Art Psychotherapy, HCPC Registered

Hannah Grace is a Health and Care Professionals Council registered Art Therapist and a member of the British Association of Art Therapists. She studied Fine Art and then went on to work in a school for children with special needs before becoming an Art Therapist.

Hannah became an Art Therapist as she believes that creating a safe space free of fear or judgement can empower people, increase self-awareness and self-confidence, and build self-esteem through the universal language of art. Hannah's approach is largely non-directive which allows the young person to be in control of what they bring to the session. Building a relationship between herself, the client and the art enables the client to experience personal growth and a strong sense of self.

Hannah has worked with clients in a school setting, an NHS children's centre (CAHMS) and with a charity for homeless and vulnerable adults, providing therapy for clients with a range of difficulties including ASD, ADHD, attachment disorders, peer issues, anger management, self-harm, anxiety, suicidal ideation, depression, bereavement, emotional trauma and children who need help to understand their emotions. Hannah is used to working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and communicates well with parents, teachers and other professionals. She is able to offer both individual and group work.
