The Dance / Movement Psychotherapist at The Owl Centre in Sussex combines expertise and experience with a friendly and sympathetic approach to the children and parents they see. They also have links with the NHS to ensure a seamless continuity for clients who have received NHS assessments or therapy.
Rebecca Wilson Green, BSc (Hons), MA, RDMP
Rebecca qualified as a Dance Movement Psychotherapist in 2013 with a Masters degree from University of Roehampton, also gaining a Psychology Department prize for outstanding achievement.
Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP) is a creative form of therapy, suitable for children and adults of all ages. Rebecca offers an integrative approach to sessions, making use of creative movement as a form of expression, along with talking, arts and play.
Rebecca has experience of working with children and adults in a variety of settings, including NHS mental health services, children’s hospice care, primary schools, secondary schools, and special educational needs schools.
Currently, Rebecca works in schools across Sussex, managing emotional wellbeing services for children and young people. She has a special interest in children and young people’s mental health, supporting people with physical health conditions, and grief, loss & bereavement.
Rebecca is a full registered member of ADMP UK and is working towards additional UKCP accreditation.
