The Owl Centre's medico-legally trained Speech and Language Therapists provide expert witness, legally binding assessment reports for EHCPs and / or tribunals, clinical negligence, and other areas in which a legally binding report is required.

Preparation: a preliminary discussion with the client, as well as reading any previous reports and other documents, and liaising with relevant parties (for instance, school, work, other health care professionals, and so on).

Assessment: face to face assessment of the patient.

Report writing: creating the legally binding document.

Court appearance: the therapist will testify in court if required.

All work is charged at a fixed rate of £80 per hour plus 45p / mile for any travel. The overall charge is usually between £900 and £1200.
