  • In my work as a Speech and Language Therapist, I have worked in paediatric care.
  • The last four years I have dedicated to working with a number of primary schools and becoming a mum of two.
  • Prior to this I was in in South East Asia for three years getting challenging clinical experience with bilingual children and families.
  • After graduating in the UK I was part of an innovative team developing modern assessment and therapy tools for universal support across the mainstream primary setting.
  • Between graduate and postgraduate study I worked in a specialist school and assessed and recommended support for children with written language difficulties/dyslexia.
  • I am particularly passionate about empowering school staff to help identify, support and develop speech, language and communication skills by utilising the most of their time. Bilingualism, improving the quality of our interactions with young children and developing phonic skills through phonological awareness are also areas of particular interest to me.
  • Areas of experience include language delay/impairment, speech and articulation difficulties, pre-school stammering and in the communication impairments of autism.
