  • Personal Summary
  • Since qualifying as a clinical psychologist in 2012, I have worked in adult mental health services, mental health rehabilitation and learning disability services.
  • This has enabled me to work with clients with a wide range of experiences including low mood, trauma, anxiety difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, relational difficulties and psychosis.
  • I also have an interest in chronic health conditions, and my thesis was on chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS/ME), I have had experience in medical psychology services and a chronic pain clinic.
  • I try and integrate therapeutic approaches depending on the client, particularly using compassion focused therapy and cognitive behaviour therapy approaches. I find the compassion based work is particularly engaging for clients and works well integrating with other approaches. It is particularly helpful when exploring feelings of self criticism and shame, which are such common issues experienced in adolescence and with the increasing impact of social media.
  • I am passionate about working alongside other specialties to ensure clients gain a holistic and joined up service and ensuring communication with others in their support network is clear
