Meet: Felicity Court - The Owl Centre

Autism Spectrum Autism Diagnosis (ADOS) Learning Disability

Felicity has had a long career as a Speech and Language Therapist, having qualified at the University of Manchester in 1985. Currently working with older teenagers and adults, she has also previously worked in child development centres and at schools for children with ASD and learning disability. She has supported people of all ages in the community, residential and educational settings and during work placements. She strives to promote better understanding of Autism and Learning Disability and encourage self advocacy.
Felicity enjoys training others and has designed and delivered a wide range of training courses for health and social care colleagues and more recently, university staff.
Felicity currently combines her clinical role with working as a Specialist Mentor for students with diagnosed Autism and/or mental health conditions at the University of Derby.
Felicity is an experienced service manager, trained Coach and clinical supervisor. She has also worked as a Partner (Registration Assessor and CPD Assessor) for the Health Care Professions Council for many years
