  • Supporting pre-school, primary- and secondary-aged children with a range of Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), including Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and speech sound delays/disorders
  • Managing mainstream and specialist school caseloads, including schools with Language Resource Provisions
  • Running SLCN groups in school settings, as well as working with children 1:1 in educational/residential settings and in family homes
  • Experience with speech sound disorders, including dyspraxia
  • Experience in developing a range of language and social skills, including teamwork, conversation skills, turn-taking, topic maintenance, feelings & emotions, attention and listening, sequencing, narrative, syntax, word-finding/word-learning strategies, as well as supporting higher-level language difficulties, including inferential reasoning, summarising and verbal reasoning skills
  • Considering SLCN in the context of functional examination preparation when supporting Years 10 to 13, helping students with language-based study skills and accessing examination materials
  • Multidisciplinary working with parents, school staff, Occupational Therapists, Art Therapists, Drama Therapists, Clinical and Educational Psychologists, Literacy & Numeracy tutors
  • Delivering training workshops for parents, school staff and other professionals
