Since qualifying from the University of Reading in 2009, I have worked in Early Years Clinics, Nurseries, Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and family homes with children and young people aged 0-19.
Following this I have completed a range of additional training in relation to speech, language and communication needs and consistently keep up to date with the latest research in relation to interventions e.g. Hanen, Makaton, PCI, Lidcombe, PROMPT.
Joint target setting and a collaborative approach to therapy are always at the centre of my approach in order to support children to reach their full potential with the support of all of those around them. Therapy sessions are fun and engaging for the children I work with and parents and / or school / nursery staff are always given activities and strategies to continue with between sessions.
