  • 16 years’ experience working with children and young adults who have a diagnosis of autism and additional needs.
  • Extensive background in behaviour analytic techniques and positive behaviour support strategies.
  • I have worked on home programmes for over 10 years, consulting to schools, nurseries and colleges, as well as leading teams of tutors and parents in the home and community.
  • I can provide guidelines and recommendations that support individuals with autism and additional needs to acquire skills, increase communication and manage challenging behaviours.
  • I follow evidence-based practice and design personalised learning programmes and behaviour support plans that are child centred and functional for the individual. Programmes are designed entirely around the needs of the child/young person, which are identified through assessment and in collaboration with the family.
  • I am dedicated to ensuring that programmes are meaningful for the individual, that they enable success and build independence.
  • I can work closely with parents and other professionals, including teachers, early years providers, Speech and Language Therapists, and carers and support staff, to establish programmes that are engaging and motivating for the individual.

  • I provide entirely bespoke consultancy packages, individually tailored to the needs of the client. Where intense intervention programmes are needed, I will train and lead teams of tutors to provide regular 1:1 teaching sessions. I am able to provide individualised parent training programmes and can consult to teaching staff to advise on how to effectively support students with autism and additional needs.
